Witcher 3 Remastered Platforms and Storefronts
Witcher 3 Remastered is live on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2. Check storefronts, upgrade eligibility, separate Switch 2 download and patch scope.
What is known now
Each section keeps its scope narrow so a high-level announcement is not mistaken for a complete launch specification.
PC
The September 29 launch announcement names GOG, Steam, Epic Games Store and Battle.net. Store availability does not establish every cross-store ownership or upgrade case.
PlayStation 5
PS5 is a released platform. Patch 5.01 applies there, but CDPR has not published a complete mode-by-mode resolution and frame-rate table.
Xbox Series X|S
Xbox Series X|S is released. Xbox Wire describes Xbox Play Anywhere support; confirm the owning account and specific store path before assuming an entitlement.
Nintendo Switch 2
The Switch 2 edition is available as a separate download and Home menu icon. CDPR says Patch 5.01 began rolling out in most regions on October 19, while Japanese availability remains pending certification; check the console download status for the account and region in use.
What to do next
- Step 1
Choose the released platform and storefront
Open the current listing for your PC store, PS5, Xbox Series X|S or Switch 2. Do not treat PS4, Xbox One, original Switch, macOS or cloud streaming as the same Remastered release.
- Step 2
Separate platform from entitlement
Sign in to the account that owns the game and check its upgrade or download action. If a Switch 2 claim does not appear, check the exact region and ownership path with Nintendo or CDPR support instead of assuming a second purchase is required.
- Step 3
Match the installed patch to your platform
Patch 5.01 covers the named PC stores, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2. Switch 2 began rolling out on October 19 in most regions, while Japanese availability remains subject to certification; use the status and performance guides for current patch-specific details.

Avoid these wrong assumptions
Listing every legacy platform
The original game’s platform history is different from the announced Remastered target list.
Calling a storefront an upgrade guarantee
Store availability and account entitlement are separate facts.
Common questions
Is Remastered available on PS4 or Xbox One?
No. CDPR's September 29 launch announcement names PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2, not PS4 or Xbox One.
Is Witcher 3 Remastered available on Switch 2 now?
Yes. CDPR confirmed the September 29 release on Switch 2. An original Switch owner's free claim still depends on the qualifying account and region; check the official store or support if it is missing.
Will the Switch 2 version replace my original Switch icon?
No. Nintendo's store page describes Remastered as a separate Switch 2 download with its own Home menu icon.
Is Patch 5.01 on Switch 2?
CDPR says the Switch 2 rollout began October 19 in most regions. The Japanese version remains pending certification, so check your console download status before assuming the update is missing.
How current is this page?
The published facts were checked October 20, 2026. Time-sensitive details are revisited when CD PROJEKT RED or a first-party platform publishes an update.
Does this page reuse old Witcher 3 facts as Remastered facts?
No. Legacy and 2022 material may appear only as labelled context; missing 2026 details remain explicitly unpublished.
